What kind of products does  Corrosiv Material Clothing specialize in?

Cut n’ sew streetwear! Corrosiv Material Clothing is a bout to come out with tees and one style
of denim to start but will move more to a complete line in the coming
seasons.

How did you get into this business?

I did an internship for a menswear brand Michael Wesetly Clothing.

When you were a little kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

Either a BMX Freestyle Pro or in the NBA.

As a clothing brand where does Corrosiv Material Clothing  get it’s inspiration for designs?
What kind of thought process goes into Corrosiv Material Clothing?

Everywhere, living in the NYC area you see all types of style to draw
inspiration from. I usually get my notes together on a board, pick out
the best ideas, choose fabrics, sampling and then production.

How do you fell about “Brand Jacking” where a brand mimics the
designs of another brand?

It just depends, some of it’s clever but it has seemed to overrun the
industry.

How did you come up with the name Corrosiv Material Clothing? What does it mean
or stand for?

Corrosiv was actually the name I gave to a pair of destroyed jeans I
was designing and thought we should design a brand around the name.
The meaning of the name is, Corrosiv: The ability to kill or destroy.
Material: Anything made of matter. Corrosiv Material Clothing: Killer
streetwear.

With the explosion of social media, what does Corrosiv Material Clothing do to build
brand exposure? What social network is most important to Corrosiv Material Clothing?

I would have to say Instagram is the most important for Corrosiv Material Clothing. It allows you to
get your info or newest products in front of a global audience as they
are released.

What is one style from the past that you wish was still popular?

Corduroy garments, we all had them heavy as kids. I know I did.

What is a current trend that you cannot stand?

The cartoon hands…. So sick of them!

Snapback or Fitted? Why?

Fitted, it’s more personal.

Low tops or High Tops? Why?

I have both it just depends on what i’m wearing.

What are Corrosiv Material Clothing thoughts on todays street wear scene?

It’s cool, I like the fact that so many people are trying to live out
their dreams. It also keeps all of us on our toes which will push the
progression of the industry.

What does Corrosiv Material Clothing see for the future of this industry?

Continued growth, It’s taking over. Now you see designer brands like
Givenchy dipping their toe in the streetwear pool. That’s flattering
if you ask me.

What is one of the best things about being in this industry?

Enjoying what I do. There is nothing worse than waking up and dread
going to a job you hate.

Minimum order quantities! lol

How would you quickly describe your past 5 years in one short
sentence.

A lot of late nights and hard work!

What sneakers did you rock as a kid?

This question made me smile. If I had to name the top 5 I wore (not
in any order) it would be; Suede Pumas, Shell toes, Dunks, Chucks, and
Vans.

What brand names were you rocking back in the day?

My style was all over the map between prep and skatewear. I would
wear Vans, Vision Street Wear, Benetton, Gap and Ralph Lauren.

In your opinion, what other brands (except Corrosiv Material) are on the come-up in this
industry?

I like Above Avrge Classick tees.

If you had to give up Corrosiv Material today and go work for a fast food
joint, which fast food joint would it be?

Applebee’s, I know it’s not exactly a fast food joint but that’s
where I’d work.

What was your first job?

Activities Assistant for a Veteran’s Home.

What will see coming from Corrosiv Material Clothing in the future?

Corrosiv Material will have more cut n sew. I have a strong background in this area and we feel
it is the next progression of the streetwear industry.

What trends will be big in 2013 / 2014?

I’m bringing back the cords!
