The Air Jordan 13 Black and Red originally released in 1998, was designed by legendary designer Tinker Hatfield. The original release caused quite a buzz, and it seems the re-release may be an even larger event in the sneaker world. Inspired by the paw of a panther and an unknowing play on Michael Jordan’s “Black Cat” nickname, the retro edition of the sneaker features an upper of tumbled black leather, red nubuck and a padded black mesh overlay alongside a perforated tongue, a hidden lacing system and Zoom Air cushioning. These retros also feature the signature holographic jewel – meant to resemble the eye of a cat and housing both Jordan’s jersey number and iconic Jumpman logo. You might want to line up at the sneaker store now because these kicks drop tomorrow !
