Check Your Six clothing is a Minneapolis, Minnesota based streetwear brand founded in 2008. Check Your Six, which is a military term meaning ‘watch your back’ held true to the vision of owners Matt and James McManus had when creating the brand. Their journey has been quite a story! Check your six clothing, was originally brought to Dropcents.com attention via one of our affiliates, Janal Abad in Chicago. Janal Abad has contributed alot of DOPE content to the Dropcents blog and has a knack for discovering underground and up and coming street wear labels.

Today, Check Your Six Clothing has had four official releases, each embodying their original aim of edginess and controversy. Check Your Six Clothing is stocked by select retailers around the country, and distributed internationally online by Dropcents.com. In addition CY6 has enjoyed exposure on some of the most influential blogs in the streetwear industry.

Matt McManus is currently a student at UW-Madison, balancing the fast times of college with the faster times of running Check Your Six Clothing. Designing shirts, attending class, traveling, and taking a whole lot of photos to capture the ride that comes with it.

James has since taken a backseat to brand operations, helping Matt with brand direction and creative ideas when time permits. Regardless of current involvement, Check Your Six will always be the McManus brothers. Homegrown, family operated. The American dream.

While many brands stick to only producing graphic t shirts, Check Your Six Clothing has stepped above the norm and produced an assortmant of products including the Check Your Six Tank Top, and the Check Your Six Snap Backs!
