Lollapalooza 2012 will be taking place August 3-5 in Chicago’s Grant Park. The rock festival that began in 1991 played a big part in bringing alternative and indie rock to the masses over the years and has gradually expand to incorporate more electronica and hip-hop. This years line-up will have hip-hop heads from all over trekking to Chi-town to take place in what’s sure to be a dope weekend. While rock acts like the Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Black Keys and Jack White will be the main attractions hip-hoppers J. Cole, Childish Gambino and Kendrick Lamar will be repping for the culture and drawing crowds as well. Other mention worthy acts include r&b vocalist The Weekend and Frank Ocean, female vocalist Florence + The Machines, international songstress Santigold and (insert ‘ol girls voice) Maybach Music repper Wale.
