Presenting Rodriquez Goldsmith aka Rod McCoy, born in Montgomery Alabama, serving our country and sharing his art. His love of travel was inherited from his mother, “My mom is a preacher and I grew up going to church” he said. I was energized by his passion and determination of sharing a positive message with a realistic twist.

Who motivated or inspired you and why? My homeboy Drevell Herron actually initially got me in the booth. It all started out as a hobby, just something I enjoyed doing. Real shit, I just liked hearing myself over a beat, lol. Over time and after hearing the mainstream music
that’s currently out, I felt that I could develop and and produce a better quality product. So gradually, after putting in work day in and day out, I feel that I’ve found my niche. What inspires me to make the music I make is just life, my life, and lives of those close to me.

What have you learned on your journey? 1) ‘Veterans’ who’ve been doing
this for a while, will take advantage of a hungry indie artist (financially). 2) If you want something done right, do it yourself. 3) This shit costs an ass load of money and if you’re a ‘nobody’ in this
game, just as I am, you have to be willing to invest!

How do you prepare for your gig? A red solo cup (contents undisclosed), and I normally spend an hour or so before performances watching performances of other artists on YouTube.

Special projects or shout outs? My EP, “Simple Dude, Complex
Thoughts” will be released late winter or early next year. The team that I am apart of, Audible Hustle Entertainment, will also be releasing a mixtape later this year. Feel free to check out
www.audiblehustle.com and check out more information regarding me and most of the other artists affiliated with Audible Hustle Entertainment.

Sit back and enjoy the newest flavor to hip hop, The Realist!
