So a lot of people mostly Wiz have been making Jimi Hendrix comparisons…that’s cool, but Jimi Hendrix did more than got hella high and dressed funny. He was redefining people’s expectations about rock ‘n roll and Wiz is gonna need a “Star Spangle Banner @ Woodstock moment” to solidify that comparison. Damn, hopefully he don’t want his career to end like Hendrix…
When I first saw the Wiz Khalifa O.N.I.F.C. cover the first thing I thought was what is he smoking on…so I can make sure to stay away from that shit! He trying the whole ‘don’ image sitting in the chair all gangsta, but it’s nothing gangsta at all about that ‘fit’ he got on… I’m one all for “self expression” ,”being different”, “changing it up”, “keeping it moving” or whatever these funny dressing dudes call they self doing these days, but I just don’t see how you gone “change the game” rocking a dalmatian coat (with no shirt ), and red racing stripe nut-huggers. I say all that as fan cuz when it comes down to it if the music is still dope then what does it matter what he got on…Just ask Andre 3000. Hopefully the Wiz Khalifa O.N.I.F.C. album is hella dope and he really sets himself apart, not just as a rapper but musically cuz that’s how you really change the game or make an impact like Jimi Hendrix.
Seems like me and PETA aren’t the only ones mad bout the Wiz Khalifa ONIFC cover cuz its been a hot subject in the twitter-sphere and a subject of many other blogs. When asked about the reaction to the O.N.I.F.C. cover Wiz said ‘They stole the swag, and I don’t want it back.’ I had to change up things; I had to turn it up. So it’s like the album artwork is just another step in the turning up.”… “Step-up in the turning up” huh? He must be smoking on some of that Snoop Lion…
