However, it appears DJ AM&#8217;s death was drug-related.<\/p>\n<p>A crack pipe and prescription pills were found in DJ AM&#8217;s apartment, an anonymous law enforcement official told the <em>Associated Press<\/em>. DJ AM&#8217;s body was reportedly found shirtless after police broke down the door to his apartment when friends could not reach him.<\/p>\n<p>DJ AM, who dated <strong>Nicole Richie<\/strong> and <strong>Mandy Moore<\/strong>, has battled drug addiction and survived a plane crash last September.<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153Nicole is in shock and hasn&#8217;t been able to stop crying since she heard the news!\u00e2\u20ac\u009d a source told <em>Star<\/em> of DJ AM&#8217;s ex, who is just days away from giving birth to her second child with <strong>Joel Madden<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Fellow deejay <strong>Samantha Ronson<\/strong> wrote, &#8220;Waiting for someone to say this isn&#8217;t true.&#8221; <strong>Lindsay Lohan<\/strong> said, &#8220;I can&#8217;t believe this&#8230; I&#8217;m in shock. Why? Why? R.I.P. Adam.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>John Mayer<\/strong> wrote, &#8220;We&#8217;re supposed to lose our friends to time, at an age when we&#8217;re ready to agree to the terms of having lived a long life. Not now.&#8221; <strong>Ryan Seacrest<\/strong> lamented, &#8220;So sad the hear about Adam.
