Presenting Rodriquez Goldsmith aka Rod McCoy, born in Montgomery Alabama, serving our country and sharing his art. His love of travel was inherited from his mother, “My mom is a preacher and I grew up going to church” he said. I was energized by his passion and determination of sharing a positive message with a realistic twist.<\/p>\n

Who motivated or inspired you and why<\/strong>? My homeboy Drevell Herron actually initially got me in the booth. It all started out as a hobby, just something I enjoyed doing. Real shit, I just liked hearing myself over a beat, lol. Over time and after hearing the mainstream music
\n that’s currently out, I felt that I could develop and and produce a better quality product. So gradually, after putting in work day in and day out, I feel that I’ve found my niche. What inspires me to make the music I make is just life, my life, and lives of those close to me.<\/p>\n

What have you learned on your journey<\/strong>? 1) ‘Veterans’ who’ve been doing
\n this for a while, will take advantage of a hungry indie artist (financially). 2) If you want something done right, do it yourself. 3) This shit costs an ass load of money and if you’re a ‘nobody’ in this
\n game, just as I am, you have to be willing to invest!<\/p>\n

How do you prepare for your gig<\/strong>? A red solo cup (contents undisclosed), and I normally spend an hour or so before performances watching performances of other artists on YouTube.<\/p>\n

Special projects or shout outs<\/strong>? My EP, “Simple Dude, Complex
\n Thoughts” will be released late winter or early next year. The team that I am apart of, Audible Hustle Entertainment, will also be releasing a mixtape later this year. Feel free to check out
